CALLING ALL SONGWRITERS and fans of authentic original music.
We are very pleased and proud to announce the Friday Live Songwriter Challenge 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for local songwriters to showcase their skills. At Friday Live we have seen many players perform their own work over the past year. Some of them revealing their creative talents on stage for the first time and enjoying the supportive atmosphere.
Entrants will be asked to review, and be inspired by photographs on this website for a total of five weeks in order to write their song which will be judged on composition, lyrics, melody and concept.
We borrow very heavily from Liverpool Acoustic in setting up our challenge and thank them profusely for their inspiration in this.
